How to give to St. Peter’s Church

While most long term members pledge a monthly amount that is collected by direct debit, there is always an opportunity to give specific amounts either to the general causes or for a specific purpose.

St Peter’s would be happy to accept donations by cash, cheque, direct debit or card

  • Cash – Collections are made at most services or events.

The Diocese and other churches

St Peters is part of the Archdeaconry of France in the Diocese of Europe and Gilbraltar, which is a network of
Christian communities and congregations serving Anglicans and other English-speaking Christians across an enormous geographical area. https://anglicanfrance.fr/

Our Ecumencial links in the area are growing and we shared a beautiful service during the week of prayer for Christian Unity at Senlis Cathedral.  Our Chaplain gave the sermon and there was a very joyful reception after the service. We have also been happy to share our church building with the Malgasy protestant church of Creil who use the church once a month for a service.

History of St Peters

There has been an Anglican Chaplaincy in Chantilly since the early days of the English-speaking community here, which first arrived in the 1830s and ’40s at the invitation of the Duc d’Aumale to help establish horse-racing.

There was a hiatus during and following the second world war, until the Chaplaincy was revived in 1983.
A new building, completed in December 1992, constructed next to the church, was financed by donations and serves as the chaplain’s home, a community hall and a library.

In recent years there has been an impressive Restoration Project.
